CEDAR RAPIDS — The Iowa High School Soccer Coaches Association has released their 2015 Boys All-State Teams, with the member coaches of each class voting for their respective lists.
Perry senior goalkeeper Jorge Soto was named to the Class 2A Second Team, as was Bluejay defensive specialist Ian Velasco.
Soto posted 11 shutouts this season and allowed only seven goals in regulation as the Bluejays went 16-4 and qualified for the state tournament for the second consecutive year.
Velasco had one goal this year before having his season ended by a knee injury against ADM May 12. A critical component of one of the stingiest defenses in the entire state, Velasco helped lead Perry to the outright Raccoon River Conference title with a 7-0 mark.
