At 1:59 p.m. Monday, the national Weather Service’s Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over De Soto, about 7 miles south of Adel and moving north at 15 mph.
Half-inch hail and winds upwards of 30 mph will be possible with this storm, according to the NWS.
Locations impacted include the Perry area, West Des Moines, Waukee, Adel, Earlham, De Soto, Van Meter, the Jordan Creek Town Center and Badger Creek State Park.
