The Guthrie County Sheriff’s office is investigating a robbery at the Rolling Hills Bank in Casey Friday about 8:15 a.m.
According to law enforcement radio traffic, the suspect is described as a thin, white male about 5’9″ or 5’10’, wearing glasses, a camouflage jacket with a hood sweatshirt and a red bandana.
A “weapon was displayed,” according to traffic, but law a enforcement .later said no weapon was used in the incident.
Bank employees reportedly saw the man flee eastward from the bank with a bag in his hand. It is unknown whether the robber had a vehicle waiting.
The Iowa State Patrol is also investigating the incident, with the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation, Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation and the Adair County Sheriff’s office.
