An SUV left the roadway on westbound Iowa Highway 141 and came to rest on its top early Saturday after it was forced from the road by a semi-tractor trailer, according to the driver of the overturned vehicle.
The Dallas County Sheriff’s office, Dallas County EMS, Woodward First Responders and the Woodward Volunteer Fire Department responded to the incident, which occurred shortly before 3:30 a.m. about one-quarter mile south of 150th Street on Iowa Highway 141.
The driver of the SUV and one passenger were treated for minor injuries at the scene.
Angela Moreland of Perry was at the scene. Moreland said she was on her way to work when she came upon the overturned vehicle and stopped to assist. She did not witness the accident, she said.
The incident remains under investigation at this hour, according to the Dallas County Sheriff’s office.
