MADRID — Trinity Heeren fired a one-hitter and worked around four walks as Madrid scored a 9-0 WCAC win over Panorama Thursday.

Madrid wasted little time in taking charge in the contest, using three hits and two costly Panorama errors to plate four runs in the bottom of the first inning. A single tally in the second followed, with the Tigers scoring four more runs in the home half of the fourth.

Heeren finished with five strikeouts and received plenty of offensive help, as Hunter Raymond, Ashley Moore and Shelbi Raymond each had two hits. Erin O’Neal, Morgan Bruns and Calista Polich joined Moore in swatting doubles for the Tigers, with Moore and Polich each driving in two runs while Raymond had a RBI as well.

Statistical information from Panorama was not available.

The Panthers host Ogden Tuesday, visit Van Meter Thursday and will play in the Atlantic Tournament June 3.
