Tracy Jacobsen passed away May 25, 2017, at Lakeview Memorial Hospital in Two Harbors, Minn.

Tracy was born to Richard and Betty Jacobsen Sept. 25, 1962, in Lake City, Iowa.

He graduated from Perry High School in Perry.

He was a member of the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International, which led him to Christ when he was about 22.

He met Gwen in 1985 while working at Fish Enterprises as the executive chef of Garden Court Catering. They were married the following year.

Their favorite vacation spot was the North Shore, and in April 1994 they moved there with their two sons, Richard and Justin.

There were many happy times and adventures for the family discovering all the state parks in the area. Tracy enjoyed biking and hiking in the outdoors.

He was a dedicated husband and father.

Tracy has been an executive chef for Taste of Scandinavia and Bluefin Bay Restaurant and entrepreneur at Jacobsen’s Chef Service. He has been featured in several TV specials while working at these locations.

His heart for serving others and the Lord has blessed his family, community and church throughout his life. Tracy was an inspiration to many people.

Tracy is survived by wife, Gwen Jacobsen, of Silver Bay, Minn.; sons, Richard Jacobsen of Duluth, Minn., and Justin Jacobsen of Minneapolis, Minn.; brothers, Richard Wilson of Eagle Grove, Iowa, John Jacobsen of Perry and Joe Jacobsen of Perry; and sister, Donna Jacobsen-Mogge of DeKalb, Ill.
