Volunteers at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Perry served charcoal-grilled burgers and brats Saturday in support of the Lutheran Layman’s League booth at the Iowa State Fair.
According to its website, the International Lutheran Laymen’s League is “a global movement of Christians empowered and equipped to communicate the gospel of Christ to all people. The League chose Lutheran Hour Ministries as the overall identity for its media outreach programs to bring Christ to the nations and the nations to the church.”
The Rev. Ken Bose, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, also encouraged his mid-day diners to come again at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday for the weekly ice cream social.
