The city of Perry announced Wednesday afternoon that a portion of Warford Street will be closed for an emergency sewer repair until Friday, Feb. 17.
Effective immediately, Warford Street from east of the alley behind Mandarin Cafe and Betsy Peterson Designs to Second Street will be closed to through traffic.
Jetting equipment belonging to AccuJet became jammed in the sanitary sewer line and made excavation necessary, according to Perry Public Works Department Director Jack Butler.
Drivers will be able to access the alleyway.
