WOODWARD — Girls from as young as those entering third grade to as veteran as those beginning their senior year in high school all took part in the Woodward-Granger volleyball camp Monday.
The gym resounded with the sound of big hits and squeaking sneakers during the morning session attended by those entering grades 9-12, with girls who will be in grades 3-8 joining their older counterparts for the second session.
Fundamentals including passing and setting were stressed, and time was set aside for other fun drills as well. If smiles and laughter were any judge, it was obvious that all the campers had a good time.
W-G head coach Meg Jackson and longtime assistant Kate Hargarfen organized and ran the camp, with help from the W-G middle school coaching staffs.
