If smiling faces are any indication of having a good time, then the more than 180 students who attended the 2015 Perry Junior-Senior Prom May 2, themed “The Great Gatsby,” were clearly loving the experience.
For some students the day “officially” began with a photo shoot at the Hotel Pattee at 3 p.m. with other students gathering at Wiese Park an hour later for another round of pictures.
The Perry Performing Arts Center hosted the annual Prom Walk-in at 6 p.m. Video of the event can be seen on PEGASUS TV-12 later this week. A brief reception followed in the PHS Commons, with a police escort bringing the caravan of revelers to the Lake Robbins Ballroom for an evening of food, friendship, dancing, games and more.
After-Prom was held at the McCreary Community Building and lasted until the wee hours of Sunday morning.
