Nick Clayton and Mackenzie Smith Clayton, missing since Friday, were located Wednesday afternoon, according to the woman’s mother, Trisha Smith.
“Thank you for everyone’s help!” Smith said about 4:30 p.m. on Facebook. “I’m exhausted. It has been the worst three days of my life. I’m going to spend the evening eating dinner and hanging with the rest of our children.”
No details about the circumstances of the Claytons’ disappearance or location were available. They were last seen late Friday night on Des Moines’ north side.
