UPDATE: Perry PD, Crimestoppers offer $300 for info on counterfeiters

At about 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 10 a man bought five reloadable debit cards and other items at the Perry Dollar General Store using six $100 bills. The bills were later discovered to be counterfeit.

According to the Perry Police Department, since the time of the Aug. 10 crime, three $20 bills were passed or attempted to be passed at both of the Casey’s locations in Perry. The more recent suspects appear to be a different group from the Dollar General Store suspects, police said.

The Perry Crimestoppers seeks the public’s help in identifying the persons responsible for these crimes as well as whom they were with and what vehicles they were driving.
