An Adel man was arrested Saturday afternoon at a mall in West Des Moines after allegedy punching a woman repeatedly in the face.
Daniel William Harley Wolfe, 27, of 2121 Greene St., #B14, Adel, was arrested on a charge of assault causing bodily injury or mental illness about 1:45 p.m. Saturday at the Century Theaters at 101 Jordan Creek Parkway in West Des Moines.
According to court records, Wolfe “did punch the victim multiple times in the nose, making the victim’s nose bleed.”
Records indicate the “victim believed she had a broken nose and had her father take her to the hospital” after she “was seen by medics on scene.”
Wolfe’s mother and a “witness from the theater” corroborated the alleged assault, the records showed.
Wolfe is held at the Dallas County Jail on a $2,000 cash-only bond. He is scheduled to appear Monday morning in Dallas County District Court.
Wolfe was convicted in September 2018 of assault causing bodliy injury or mental illness after assaulting his father and “punching him in the head multiple times,” according to court records. Wolfe told a Waukee Police Department officer the assault occurred when “he was playing a computer game and became frustrated.”
While awaiting trail for assaulting his father, Wolfe assaulted a fellow inmate in the Dallas County Jail by “punching him in the face,” according to court records. He was convicted of the second assault causing bodily injury or mental illness in September 2018. Wolfe told corrections officers he assaulted the inmate because Wolfe was “not getting his medication for anger issues,” and “without his medication he could not handle it.”
