August 10, 2016

  • Devin Kline reported a theft at the Greenland Home construction site at 1406 S. Sixth St. in Adel.
  • A car-versus-deer accident occurred at 26259 U.S. Highway 6 in Adel when a vehicle driven by Brian Clark, 218 S. 12th St., Adel, was traveling westbound on U.S. Highway 6 and struck a deer. Damage to Clark’s Toyota Camry was estimated at $5,000.
  • A two-vehicle accident occurred in the 1600 block of S. 15th Street in Adel when a vehicle driven by Carey Smith, 605 Hatten St., Dallas Center, was backing out of a parking space and struck a vehicle driven by Jamie Linde, 1120 S.E. 11th St., #2106, Grimes. There was no damage to the Smith’s Chevy Tahoe and damage to Linde’s Buick Century was estimated at $250. No injuries were reported.

August 11, 2016

  • Brittany Nichole Ores, 23, 1404 Greene St., #17, Adel, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct.
  • Paul Lee Kindred Jr., 35, 715 ½ Main St., Adel, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct.

August 12, 2016

  • A two-vehicle accident occurred in the 900 block of Main Street in Adel when a vehicle driven by Kristin York, 2223 Grand Ave., #4, West Des Moines, was backing out of a parking space and struck a parked vehicle owned by David Williams, 15285 40th Ave. N., Plymouth, Minn. Damage to York’s Honda Accord was estimated at $200, and damage to Williams’ Ford Escape was estimated at $200. No injuries were reported.

August 13, 2016

  • A two-vehicle accident occurred in the 400 block of Nile Kinnick Drive S. in Adel when a vehicle driven by Michelle Meyer, 1207 N. Sixth St., #8, Indianola, was pulling out of the parking lot and struck a vehicle driven by Joanne McVey, 500 Van Fossen Ln., Adel. Damage to Meyer’s Ford Focus was estimated at $1,300, and damage to McVey’s Ford Focus was estimated at $500. No injuries were reported.
  • A two-vehicle accident occurred in the 1000 block of Greene Street in Adel when a vehicle driven by Lyle Nevins, 807 Prairie St., Adel, was eastbound on Greene Street and waiting to turn onto S. 10th Street when it was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by Seth McMahan, 812 Bridge St., Redfield. Damage to Nevins’ Honda Accord was estimated at $500, and damage to McMahan’s Pontiac Grand Prix was estimated at $200. Minor injuries were reported. McMahan was issued a citation for failure to stop in an assured distance.
