January 21, 2019

  • Susan McCann of Adel reported a credit-card scam in the 400 block of N. 14th Street. The item was estimated at $1,000.

January 22, 2019

  • A vehicle driven by Kolby Hardcastle of Adel was turning westbound in the 600 block of Meadow Road when his vehicle slid into a light pole. Damages were reported at $2,000.
  • Steve Blair of Adel reported a theft in the 1400 block of Beverly Circle. The value of the item was unknown.
  • Adel Laundromat of Adel reported a theft in the 100 block of Nile Kinnick Drive N. Damages and items lost were estimated at $650.

January 23, 2019

  • Ashley Marie Richards, 34, 3040 Trenton Ave., Orient, Iowa, was arrested for driving under suspension and first-offense possession of controlled substance.

January 24, 2019

  • Karl Hicks of DeSoto reported a scam in the 800 block of Nile Kinnick Drive S. There was no estimated loss.
  • Leland Wilken of Adel reported a scam in the 1400 block of Beverly Circle. There was no estimated loss.

January 25, 2019

  • A vehicle driven by Madyson Johnson of West Des Moines was traveling eastbound in the 26000 block of U.S. Highway 6 when a vehicle driven by Theresa Stump of Dallas Center  pulled onto the roadway and struck Johnson’s vehicle. Damages were reported at $6,000.
  • Larry Karaidos of Adel reported a scam in the 1300 block of Prairie Street. There was no estimated loss.
  • Karen Erickson of Adel reported criminal mischief in the 400 block of S. 12th Street. Damages were estimated at $400.

January 26, 2019

  • Tyler Eugene Worthington, 25, 908 Greene St., Adel, was arrested on an Adel Police Department warrant for fifth-degree theft and trespassing.
  • Daniel Lee Grogan, 41, 312 N. Greene St., #6, Adel, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and on a warrant for probation violation.

January 27, 2019

  • A snowmobile driven by John Brightwell of Adel was traveling westbound in the 2000 block of the bike trail when he lost control. Damages were reported at $13,000.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
