ADM reports 14 positive cases across district this week

Fourteen people in the Adel-De Soto-Minburn Community School District have tested positive for SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, since Thursday, Dec. 3, according to communications from ADM Superintendent Greg Dufoe.

The positive cases included one staff member at the ADM Elementary School, one student at the De Soto Intermediate School, one student and one staff member at the ADM Middle School and eight students and two staff members at the ADM High School.

In addition, 38 people were quarantined as close contacts of the infected students and staff members.

The ADM Community School District had about 1,900 students enrolled in 2019, with about 500 in the high school. The district’s ongoing virus-mitigation strategies can be reviewed on the ADM dashboard.
