The Christ Lutheran Church in rural Bouton ushered in the Advent season Sunday with an Advent Alleluia concert, featuring songs by the Christ Lutheran Church Choir and the Grace Alone sextet.
Solos and duets were sung by Mickey Lynde, Dave Menz and Ron Bartelt and Jenni Schulteis.
Grace Alone is composed of local vocalists Shelly Golightly, Karen Schulteis, Sue Schulteis, Terri Cooper, Karen Menz and Connie Sheehy. The piano accompanist was Jenni Schulteis.
The Christ Lutheran Choir is composed of Kaye Adair, Jerry Bossard, Marcus Carris, Terri Cooper, Brad Golightly, Shelly Golightly, Chad Hoffbeck, Georgene Hoffbeck, Dave Menz, Cynthia Miner, Max Phillips, Sherrill Phillips, Jennifer Priest, Larry Rossmanith, Connie Sheehy, Gary Swanson, Geneen Tibben, Lanette Ude, Dale West and Elaine Wicks. The choir director is Karen Menz.
Following the concert, a hamball dinner was served with all the homemade fixings. A free-will offering was collected.
