CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — Alex Bebb, a senior at Ogden HIgh School, was one of 70 student scholars statewide recently selected to receive a scholarship from the Grand Lodge of Iowa Ancient Free and Accepted Masons, the Grand Lodge announced this week.
Bebb received the $1,850 award in recognition of his academic performance, community activities, leadership and financial need. A total of $129,500 was awarded to graduating seniors out of 466 applicants from students at Iowa’s public high schools.
The Grand Lodge of Iowa has awarded more than $1.2 million in scholarships from an endowment fund established to recognize the accomplishments and potential of young Iowans.
