Graveside services for Anastasio L. “Stacy” Galvan, 65, of Perry will be 11 a.m. Friday, March 12 at Violet Hill Cemetery in Perry.

Anastasio died March 5, 2021, at Manor Care Health Services in West Des Moines, Iowa.

Casket bearers were Denise Mejia, Selena Garcia, Brandon Mejia, Nick Lingner, Chris Galvan, Amber Olafson, Dawn Spidle, Joseph Galvan and James Walker. Honorary casket bearers were Marylee Olafson, Mary Lingner, Cecil Galvan, Luci Blair, Connie Walker, Peggy Spors, and Joseph Littlebear.

Recorded songs selected were “Just Over The Hilltop” by Manson, “Amazing Grace” and “(Sittin’ On) The Dock of the Bay” by Otis Redding and Steve Cropper.

Interment took place at Violet Hill Cemetery in Perry, Iowa.

Anastasio “Stacy” Luke Galvan, son of Tomas Galvan and Aldena Jackson Galvan, was born Oct. 1, 1955, in Des Moines, Iowa, and he went to his heavenly home on March 5, 2021.

Stacy attended school in Des Moines.

He was a supervisor at BMS and a truck driver for DAV.

He loved working on cars and trucks.

Stacy lived in Perry with his brother, Ciso, and sister-in-law, Jolene, since 2012.

He was a member of the Calvary Apostolic Church.

Stacy was preceded in death by his grandparents; parents; niece, Melanie Beckler’ nephew, Darin Lingner; brothers, Opal (Sonny) Holiday and Tomas Galvan Jr.; and brother-in-law, Ray Olafson.

Left to cherish his memories are Marylee Olafson of Milton, Florida; Peggy Spors; Conni Walker of Ankeny; Lucy Blair of Des Moines; Ciso and Jolene Galvan of Perry; Joseph Littlebear (Irvin) and Donna of Boone; sister-in-law Mary Lingner of Bouton; many nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends.

Hastings Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
