Angela Toney, 51, of Perry went home to be with Jesus on Monday, Sept. 11, 2023. She was born in Perry on Oct. 9, 1971, to Vernon Lee Roy Starling II and Barbara Ruth Starling.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16 at the New Hope Assembly of God located at 4425 70th St., Urbandale, IA 50322.
Angela was passionate about God and took pleasure in sharing God’s love with others. She was a blessing to all who knew her and was loved by many. The impact of Angela’s life will be felt for years to come.
Angela enjoyed reading, spending time in her garden, bowling and being with her loved ones.
Most of all, she enjoyed helping others. This was evident by her never-ending desire for education in health and healing. This desire led her to become a chiropractor in 2012.
She did not just treat her patients’ physical ailments but also their emotional and spiritual pains. She would show the love of Jesus and pray for everyone.
Angela is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, Ron Toney; and her siblings, Rebecca Starling, Sarah (Albert) Elias, John (Diane) Starling, Polly (George) Davenport, Merry (Joel) Ridnour, Gerry Bacon and Jared Starling.
Angela is preceded in death by her parents, Vernon Lee Roy Starling III and Barbara Ruth Starling; and grandparents, Walter John Peel and Hazel Peel.
