A large crowd lined the route in downtown Perry Friday night for the annual Holiday Lighted Parade.

Parade floats gathered near Second Street and Otley Avenue and traveled north on Third Street before turning west for a block on Pattee Street and then parading southward along Second Street and back to Otley Avenue before disbanding.

Vehicles from the Perry Police Department and Perry Volunteer Fire Department led the way, with several other businesses and civic groups entering floats or lighted vehicles and creating a line that required about 18 minutes to pass by.

Festivities continued after the parade at the Hotel Pattee, with Santa Claus greeting youngsters while young pianists played holiday songs amid the festively decorated lobby. The Carnegie Library Museum was also open for the annual Festival of Trees.
