An armed robbery occurred about 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the Kum & Go at 3105 Grand Prairie Parkway in Waukee, according to law enforcement radio traffic.
The suspect reportedly fled on foot southward on Grand Prairie Parkway after brandishing a handgun in the course of the crime.
The suspect is described as a 19-year-old male.
The gunman is currently being pursued in timber near the 118 mile marker of U.S. Interstate 80, according to radio traffic.
The Waukee Police Department, Dallas County Sheriff’s office and West Des Moines Police Department responded to the incident, which is under investigation at this hour.
