WAYLAND, Iowa — Law enforcement seeks the public’s help with information about the disappearance and death in August of Brandy Mae Shepherd-Margita, 29, of Anamosa, according to a statement released Tuesday by the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI).
The Henry County Sheriff’s office found Shepherd-Margita’s body in a farm field west of Wayland, Iowa, Aug. 9. The Iowa State Medical Examiner determined the manner and cause of death for Shepherd-Margita is undetermined. Toxicology testing continues, the DCI said.
The victim leaves behind four children, ages 9, 5, 3 and 11 months.
The Henry County Sheriff’s office and the Iowa DCI are investigating the case and working all leads. Both agencies encourage anyone with information about the investigation into the death of Ms. Shepherd-Margita to call with the information.
