Barn fire quickly knocked down by Perry VFD Sunday night

The Perry Volunteer Fire Department made short work of a barn fire Sunday night at 16270 130th St. west of Perry.

A barn fire west of Perry was quickly brought under control Sunday night by firefighters of the Perry Volunteer Fire Department.

There were no injuries in the blaze at 16270 130th St., which was reported about 8:15 p.m.

The fire appeared to be confined to the northeast corner of the 1,200-square-foot steel granary, owned by Tim A. Hall, according to country records.

The cause of the fire is under investigation at this hour.

The Perry Police Department, Perry First Responders and Dallas County EMS also responded to the fire.

A barn near 130th Street and Grandview Road west of Perry caught fire shortly after 8 p.m. Sunday.
