Winterset will visit Perry for a Raccoon River Conference girl/boy basketball twin bill Tuesday, but there will be plenty of ancillary activities happening as well.
The Jayette softball team will be hosting a soup supper fundraiser before and during the games. Fans will be treated to all-you-can-eat soup, a dessert and drink for just $5.
Santa Claus will make an appearance and will available with a photo booth and props for holiday pictures as part of a “Selfies With Santa” celebration. The jolly old elf will also be joining the Perry cheerleaders throughout both games tossing t-shirts to fans.
The Perry Booster Club, who is sponsoring Kris Kringle’s visit and the t-shirt tosses, will also be holding an “Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest.” The student section and fans are encouraged to break out their finest sartorial garishness and vote for their favorite. The Booster Club and Santa Claus will award prizes to the top three vote receivers.
In addition, the Jays Nest will be open and selling all the finest in Perry apparel and merchandise.
The Jayettes and Huskies will begin the on-court action at 6 p.m.
