Graveside services for Betty Kay Smothers, 81, of Perry will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15 at the Violet Hill Cemetery in Perry.
Betty died Monday, Aug. 6, 2018, at the Dallas County Hospital in Perry, Iowa.
Betty is survived by her children, Robin Pickell, Teresa Wheeler and Shawn Wheeler, all of Perry, Phillip (Irene) Wheeler Jr. of Des Moines and Kim Gates of Independence, Mo.; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; sister, Carol (Gail) Laird of Perry; brother, Robert (Marilyn) Schirman of Perry; and aunt, Velma Bailey of Perry.
Memorials in Betty’s name may be left or mailed to Hastings Funeral Home for the family’s later designation.
