Betty Lou Stevens, 86, of Perry passed away peacefully Thursday, Jan. 16, 2025, at her home in Perry, Iowa.
Services will be held in Betty’s hometown of Corning, Arkansas, with the help of the Ermert Funeral Home at 1000 W Elm St., Corning, AR 72422. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.caldwellparrish.com.
Born Sept. 30, 1938, in Corning, she was the daughter of Johnnie and Hettie (Boshears) Brewer.
On April 9, 1960, Betty married Perry Stevens, and from this union they were blessed with two children, Michael and Rebecca.
Betty enjoyed crocheting, coloring and babysitting.
Betty’s greatest happiness came from spending time with her family, cherishing every moment with her grandchildren and ensuring they felt deeply loved and cared for.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie and Hettie Brewer; infant daughter, Rebecca Jean Stevens; brother, John Ray Brewer; and sisters, Lola Hollifield, Bonnie Hawkins, and baby sister, Rebecca Ann Brewer.
She is survived by her loving husband, Perry Stevens of Perry; son, Michael (Jonie) Stevens of Woodward; grandchildren, Alexander Stevens, Alannah Stevens and Samuel Fagan; brother, Jackie Brewer of Corning, Arkansas; sisters, Hula Higgens of Corning, Arkansas, Barbara Rush of Paragould, Arkansas, and Gwen Brooks of Florida; as well as other relatives and friends.
