Perry senior Jack Brosnahan taps in on the second hole at the Woodward Golf and Country Club Thursday. Brosnahan led Perry with a 37 in Friday's win at Greene County.

JEFFERSON — Greene County proved little challenge for Perry Friday, as the Bluejays — who had eight of their 11 golfers who made the circuit shoot lower than the best Ram score — waltzed to a 165-223 victory.

Senior Jack Brosnahan bounced back from early season struggles to win medalist honors with a one-over par round of 37. Kade VanKirk added a 41, Will Whiton a 43 and Noah Wilkening a 44 for the guests. Varsity scores of 45 from both Connor Nielsen and Ryan Rathje were not used for the team total.

Brosnahan started par-par-birdie before three consecutive bogeys pushed his score to 2-over. A par-birdie-par finish created the final card of 37.

VanKirk had three pars, Whiton one par and two birdies and Wilkening four pars en route to their respective scores.

Alex Palmer (54), Logan Nelson (55), Zach Neil (55) and Joe Benson (59) scored for Greene County.

The Perry junior varsity was a 207-267 winner, with Zach Roberts (46), Dane McCarty (49), Tanner Darr (56) and Luke Rathje (56) scoring while Brody Kimrey (59) also made the rounds.
