The classroom clearly did not take a back seat to the links this season for either Perry golf team, as both the Bluejays and Jayettes recently received several squad and individual honors.
A grade point average of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale is required for an individual to be named to the Raccoon River Conference All-Academic team. In addition, the golfer in question must earn a letter and be in grades 10-12.
Named All-Academic RRC for the Jayettes were Skylar Cunningham, Brooke Huntington, Alyssa Kruger, Ellie Nielsen, Hannah Roberts and Sarah Sweet, with Tanner Darr, Dane McCarty, Connor Nielsen, Kade VanKirk and Noah Wilkening the Bluejays so honored.
Perry teams both received Distinguished Academic Achievement Awards, from the IGHSAU and IHSAA, respectively, for a combined team GPA of 3.25-4.0.
