Perry players Rudy Sarceno (1) and Wilber Ramirez (20) help put pressure on the DC-G defense earlier this year. Perry hosts a postseason game Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.

Visiting Pella departed Dewey Field with a 3-1 win over Perry in non-conference boys soccer action Thursday, with the Perry girls dropping a 1-0 non-conference contest at North Polk that was called at halftime due to inclement weather.

The Bluejays fell to 10-7 overall with the loss while the Little Dutch improved to 8-8. The hosts Comets saw their mark rise to 11-4 while the Jayettes dropped to 6-9.

North Polk scored in the ninth minute for the only goal of the girls game. Perry had only two shots on goal, but were within striking range thanks in part to 10 saves from Jayette freshman goalie Kimberly Castillo.

Individual statistics from the Perry boys game have not been made available.

The Jayettes host Atlantic Tuesday, with the Bluejays playing the winner of Monday’s Carroll vs. Lewis Central contest at Dewey Field at 6:30 p.m. in a Class 2A Subsate 8 Semifinal.
