Kaleb Olejniczak can add one final accolade to his long list of prep honors, as the Perry senior has been named to the Academic All-State First Team by the Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association.
The distinction was earned by only 23 seniors across all four classes. To earn a spot on the prestigious list a player must display outstanding academic success, athletic prowess and moral character.
Olejniczak occupied the lead-off spot in the Perry lineup, driving in 11 runs while scoring 15 times. He had 28 hits, including four doubles and two triples, and was successful on 11-of-15 stolen base attempts. The center fielder finished with a .384 batting average and an on base percentage of .458.
