NORWALK — The Perry boys track team will be represented in four events at the Class 3A State Track Meet in Des Moines next week after competition at their state qualifying meet today.
Scott James won the high jump with a clearance of 6 feet, one inch to earn a spot at state while Keegan Pfau was second in the 1600 in 4 minutes, 39.89 seconds and second in the 3200 (10:17), qualifying in both.
James and Pfau were joined by Nic Wilhelmi and Reece Dunlap in punching a ticket to state by winning the 1600 medley relay in 3:40.98.
The boys 4×400 team and girls 4×800 team were possible entrants. While not securing an automatic bid, both foursomes may advance if their respective times are among the eight best at-large clockings statewide.
