Six starters return for the Jayettes, who can no longer be penciled in as an "automatic win" on any team's schedule.

The Perry boys soccer team raised their record to 5-2 overall with a 2-1 non-conference victory over Grinnell at Dewey Field Friday.

Ivan Garcia found the back of the net in the 45th minute for the first Perry score, with Jesus Rodriguez unleashing a bicycle-kick goal that stretched the nylon in the back of the goal for the final Bluejay point.

Additional details were not available.

Perry will visit Bondurant-Farrar Tuesday and Boone Thursday in a pair of Raccoon River Conference tilts.
