The body found by a cyclist Saturday along the Raccoon River Valley Trail has been identified as that of a Perry man first reported missing by the Perry Police Department June 11.
Ka Doe, 21, had not been seen since. Dallas County Sheriff Chad Leonard confirmed the identity Tuesday morning.
Leonard’s office, in coordination with the state Department of Criminal Investigation, said foul play was not suspected in Doe’s death, and the results of an autopsy by the state medical examiner’s office have determined the cause of death as suicide.
Doe was found hanging from a tree just off the trail near 260th Street approximately midway between Dallas Center and Waukee.
