The boil order in Minburn was lifted Friday, according to a city official.

MINBURN — The boil order issued last week for the city of Minburn has been lifted following tests by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources that show the city’s water is free from bacterial contamination and safe to drink.

The boil order was issued last Thursday after a broken water main, causing the city water tower to drain and leading to a loss of water pressure.

The break occurred along U.S. Highway 169.
