The Woodward-Granger Elementary School was evacuated Tuesday morning after a bomb threat was received in the school office. No injuries have been reported.

According to a message sent about 10:30 a.m. by the school system’s automated alert system, “a suspicious phone call threatening a bomb specific to the elementary” was received at the school office at 202 Oak St. in Granger.

All students and staff were immediately evacuated to a safe space. Law enforcement is making “a thorough sweep of the elementary,” the alert said.

“Again all children are safe as the district is following safety protocol procedures,” the alert said.

A second message about 11:15 indicated law enforcement finished its sweep of the school building and gave “the all-clear sign to re-enter the elementary building.”
