Officers of the Perry Police Department manage a bomb threat made early Saturday in the police department parking lot.

A person made a bomb threat early Saturday during an incident that is ongoing in the parking lot of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave.

The situation is unclear at this hour, but law enforcement radio traffic indicated the incident began about 1:45 a.m., when the person left the police department lobby and was then confronted by officers of the Perry Police Department.

It is unknown whether anyone has been detained or is keeping law enforcement at bay. The nature of the bomb threat is also unknown at this hour.

A negotiator from the Boone County Sheriff’s office has been called in remotely, according to radio traffic.

The Dallas County Sheriff’s office, Woodward Police Department, Dallas County EMS and Perry First Responders are also on the scene.
