Orders for bricks for the Rippey Consolidated School Memorial Patio are still being accepted, the Friends of Rippey committee announced Thursday.
Some 211 bricks have so far been placed at the memorial by the late Keith Devilbiss and his son, Marc Devilbiss.
Bricks may be purchased singly for $65 each or $50 each for 10 bricks or more.
The next order will be placed April 1, and the bricks will be laid by Memorial Day weekend. A second order will be placed by June 1, with the bricks to be viewed in time for the Aug. 1 Rippey Sesquicentennial celebration.
Individuals do not have to be graduates of the Rippey Consolidated School in order to purchase a brick. Several persons have chosen to purchase bricks for their parents, former teachers or other relatives or friends whom they want to recognize and honor.
