Bruce Klein, 70, of Perry passed away Sunday, Jan. 16, 2022, at the MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.
A funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, Jan. 25 at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Perry. Visitation will be Monday, Jan. 24 from 1-6 p.m., with family present from 4-6 p.m. and a Rosary at 6:15 p.m. at the Carris Family Funeral Home and Cremation Care in Perry. Burial will be at Violet Hill Cemetery at a later date.
Bruce Anthony Klein was born March 9, 1951, in Perry, Iowa, to Dave and Zelma Ramona (Kimrey) Klein.
He attended St. Patrick Catholic School and graduated from Perry High School and then graduated from Upper Iowa University Campus in Des Moines.
Bruce was united in marriage to Vicki Lynn Burton at the Dallas County Courthouse April 14, 1975.
He worked at Lord’s Clothing in Perry, Northwest Buyers and Clothiers in Minneapolis, Minneapolis, and retired from Key Industries in Kansas.
After retirement, Bruce was a substitute teacher.
He was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church and Perry Elk’s Club He enjoyed playing golf, making stained glass windows and lamps and gourmet cooking.
In death he rejoins his parents, Dave and Zelma Klein; and a sister, Rita “Joanne” Jurisch.
Left to cherish Bruce’s memory are his wife, Vicki of Perry; and a sister, Janice Mahoney of Castle, Wyoming.
