Funeral services for Caine R. D. Argueta, 16 1/2 months, the precious son of Kiara Taylor and Jeffrey Argueta of Des Moines and formerly of Perry, will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 15 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, with the Rev. Luis Mejia and the Rev. Andrea Brownlee officiating.
Burial will be in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery following the Saturday service. A lunch will be served at the First Christian Church after the funeral service, with friends of the St. Patrick Church Regina Guild and CWF of the First Christian Church hosting.
Caine Ronaldinho David Argueta, precious son of Kiara Taylor and Jeffrey Argueta, was born September 22, 2018, in Des Moines, Iowa, and died unexpectedly Friday morning, February 7, 2020, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines at the age of 1 year, 4 months and 15 days young.
Caine was a good eater and loved to drink water. He had fun playing with his brother and dancing, and he liked the movie “Coco.” Most of all, Caine loved his family, especially his grandparents.
Caine will be in his family’s hearts forever.
He is survived by his mom, Kiara Taylor of Des Moines; his dad, Jeffrey Argueta of Des Moines; his brother, Elijah Des Moines; his paternal grandparents, Lorena and Carlos Argueta of Perry; maternal grandparents, Carissa and Matthew Yanders of Perry; grandfather, Emmanuel Taylor of South Bend, Indiana; uncles, Hezekiah Taylor of South Bend and Edward (Ashlee Marie) Argueta; aunts, Brie’anna Taylor of Perry, Amarie Taylor of Perry and Yeynisy Argueta of Perry; great-grandparents, Debrah (David) Katosa of Mishawaka, Indiana, and Brilla Harrison of South Bend; great-great-grandparents, Arlene Hunt of Mishawaka, Bergelina Mejia of Guatemala and Jose Evlio Argueta of El Salvador; numerous cousins; and other relatives.
Hastings Funeral Home in Perry is in charge of arrangements.
