Funeral services for Caine R. D. Argueta, 16 1/2 months, the precious son of Kiara Taylor and Jeffrey Argueta of Des Moines and formerly of Perry, will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 13 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, with the Rev. Father Luis Mejia and the Rev. Andrea Brownlee officiating.
Caine died unexpectedly at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa, Friday, Feb. 7, 2020.
Caine’s family will be present at visitation from 1-2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Hastings Funeral Home and again from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery following the Thursday service. A lunch will be served at the First Christian Church after the funeral service, with friends of the St. Patrick Church Regina Guild and CWF of the First Christian Church hosting.
In addition to his parents, Caine is survived by his brother, Elijah; his paternal grandparents, Lorena and Carlos Argueta of Perry; maternal grandparents, Carissa and Matthew Yanders of Perry; grandfather, Emmanuel Taylor of South Bend, Indiana; and aunts and uncles.
Hastings Funeral Home in Perry is in charge of arrangements.
