Fire destroyed a westbound vehicle near the 139 mile marker of Iowa Highway 141 south of Woodward 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
The Woodward Volunteer Fire Department responded to the reported fire and quickly controlled it.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
The westbound side of Iowa Highway 141 was briefly closed while firefighters fought the fire and was then opened to a single lane of traffic until the incident was cleared.
The Dallas County Sheriff’s office also responded.
