A car struck a power pole shortly before 6 a.m. Sunday on Iowa Highway 144 at 335th Street north of Perry in Boone County.
No injuries were reported in the one-vehicle incident.
An officer of the Perry Police Department and the Perry First Responders responded. The Dallas County EMS was paged due to air-bag deployment.
The force of the impact appeared to damage the power pole at the southwest corner of the intersection. The utility company has been alerted to the damaged pole, which appeared to be leaning toward the roadway of Iowa Highway 144.
The incident is under investigation at this hour by the Boone County Sheriff’s office.
