WOODWARD — Earlham slowly pulled away from host Woodward-Granger, 39-25, in WCAC girls cage action Tuesday.

W-G head coach Gary Dresback said his team shot poorly from the floor, contributing to the win despite holding Earlham to fewer than 40 points for the first time in four games.

Earlham (3-1, 1-1) held a 17-11 lead at the half, a margin that grew to 25-14 after three quarters.

Katie Noah led the guests with 10 points, with Kaylee Hohertz adding nine points. Lizzie Arnburg and Alli Boyle tallied eight points apiece, with Tate Leporte scoring four points.

Emma Anderson had a team-best 10 points for W-G (0-4, 0-2), with Kayley Dresback scoring eight points. Katleyn Scharlau had three points for the Hawks, with Natalie Helbling and Rian Jamison scoring two points apiece.

W-G returns to action Friday when they host West Central Valley.
