A Carroll man was arrested in Linden Monday night after allegedly brandishing a handgun during an argument and threatening to kill his victim.
Jackson Lee Norton, 28, of 920 N. Court St., Carroll, was charged with assault while displaying a dangerous weapon.
The incident occurred about 11 p.m. Monday in the 400 block of N. Main Street in Linden, where Norton allegedly “pulled a black semi-automatic handgun out of his pocket and aimed it at” the victim “and stated he was going to kill him.”
Norton allegedly “placed the handgun back in his pocket and then punched” the victim “in the left jaw with a closed fist, again stating he was going to kill him.”
The alleged armed assault took place after the victim directed Norton to leave the Linden residence.
