The Woodward-Granger boys had their season end Monday with a loss to Interstate-35.

WOODWARD — The Woodward-Granger girls golf team hosts a triangular Tuesday, a day after both Hawk squads entertained a pair of WCAC opponents.

Ballard fired a 218 to win Tuesday’s meet, with Greene County shooting a combined 229 and W-G a 238.

Hawk senior Cierra DeHoet was the runner-up medalist with her round of 48. Emily Trewet had a 60, Emma Greiner a 61 and Megan Burkhart a 69 for the hosts. Rounds of 70 from Quinn Kaufman and of 74 form Izzy Meier, as well as 68 from Kylie Limoges, were not used for the team total.

Lauren Smith was the tiebreaker winner for medalist with a 48 for Ballard. Reilly and Maya Baker both had rounds of 55 and Emma Kielsmerer a card of 60 to account for the Bomber scoring. Ashley Drew (64), Mackenzie Kraling (67), Annika Catus (67) and Megan Hadaway (68) were also in action for Ballard.

Scoring for Greene County were Ellie Madson (51), Mariah BLock (56), Faith Hankel (57) and Alex Miller (65). Bailey Brown (76) and Autumn Villerbo (79) made the circuit for the Rams as well.

The W-G girls were victorious Monday after carding a 233. Pleasantville produced a 240 and Earlham a 248.

DeHoet was medalist for the hosts after turning in a 53. Trewet and Burkhart each had rounds of 58 and Greiner a 64. Kaufman and Limgoes had identical scores of 71, both of which were unused.

Breanna Benge of Pleasantvile was the runner-up medalist with a 54. Kristen Roe fired a 58, Tess Ray a 61 and Cheyene Pagel a 67. The Trojans did not count the rounds of 68 from Abby DeJoode or of 69 from Lauren Cook.

Earlham had four players in action. Meridith Hochstetler (56), Kaylee Hohertz (58), Ella Goodrich (66) and Ashleigh Weenser (68).

Earlham won a tiebreaker to top W-G in Monday’s boys action after each school finished a 192. That forced the teams to go to their fifth score, with the Cardinals having a 52 and the Hawks a 53, giving the visitors the overall win.

Pleasantville finished with a 205 to place third.

W-G’s Coby Peters was the runner-up medalist with a 43. Trey Lettow shot 49, Hunter Pifer 50 and Brandon Worley 50 for the team score. August Thielen (53) and Nick Buch (57) also walked the course for the hosts.

Medalist winner Grant Petersen paced Earlham with a 41. T.J. Harkins had a 49, and John Humphrey and Trent Williamson rounds of 51 to conclude the scoring. Dawson Madren turned in a 52 and Keenan Volz a 59, with both unused.

Pleasantville’s total came from cards of 49 from both Colt Stewart and Isaac Roe, of 53 from Ben Mott and of 54 from Carter Ollom. Not tallied were scores from Mitch Harken (54) and Larry Remster (74).

Both teams return to action Thursday. The Hawk boys will host an 18-hole invitational beginning at 1 p.m. while the W-G girls will join ADM for a triangular with host DC-G at Beaver Creek.
