She was a graduate of Watertown High School and received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Dakota State College in Madison, S.D., and was three hours shy of her Master’s degree in deaf education from the University of Iowa. She will be fondly remembered and missed by her husband, Gene, of Woodward; son, William Grell, and wife, Kim, of Granger; five grandchildren, Jack, Katherine, Sydney, Elizabeth and Olivia; and a sister, Harlene Mitchum, and husband, Dan, of Fishers, Ind.
