Changes made to W-G softball tourney schedule

WOODWARD — Host Woodward-Granger announced Thursday evening a series of changes to their annual two-day tournament, with teams now playing three games instead of four. Action begins at 10 a.m. both Friday and Saturday.

The schedule for Friday is as follows: Diamond 1 — W-G vs. Pleasantville at 10 a.m., Winterset vs. Council Bluffs Abraham Lincoln at 12 p.m., W-G was Abraham Lincoln at 2 p.m. and Winterset vs. Lewis Central at 4 p.m. Friday’s games on Diamond 2 are Ogden vs. Perry at 10 a.m. and Madrid vs Lewis Central at 12 p.m.

On Saturday, the Diamond 1 games are: W-G vs. Winterset at 10 a.m., Ogden vs. Lewis Central at 12 p.m., Ogden vs. Pleasantville at 2 p.m. and Perry vs. Madrid at 4 p.m. Diamond 2 games will be Madrid vs. Pleasantville at 10 a.m. and Perry vs. Abraham Lincoln at 12 p.m.

All games will be seven innings or a 90-minute time limit. Tourney officials note that if the pace of play is ahead of schedule games will be started before their stated times.
