A high-speed pursuit across Perry ended about 3:45 a.m. Sunday with an arrest near First and Willis avenues.
A man in a GMC Sierra pickup truck reached speeds of 70 mph on Warford Street before the vehicle became disabled and came to a stop in the alley behind the car wash at First Avenue and Warford Street.
Where the pursuit began is unclear at this hour, but it crossed the intersection of Willis Avenue and Diagonal Road prior to ending in the downtown area.
Public safety radio traffic indicated the driver returned a preliminary breath test of .133, but this information has not been confirmed by law enforcement at this hour.
The Perry Police Department has not released the identity of the driver or the charges he faces at this hour.
None of Perry’s local towing services responded to remove the disabled truck, and a service from Adel was called.
