The city of Perry has issued the following instructions for motorists wishing to access parking along Railroad Street during the First-and-Willis intersection improvement project:
The westbound lane of Willis Avenue is closed at the intersection with Second Street. In order to access Railroad Street and parking for the local businesses — including the Perry Public Library, the Carnegie Library Museum, Hotel Pattee, RHC and the Raccoon River Valley Bicycle Company — westbound vehicles will be rerouted into the eastbound lane of Willis Avenue at Second Street and then south onto Railroad Street.
As a part of the closure of Willis Avenue, the drop-off area for the Hotel Pattee has been moved to the alley behind the hotel.
